Born on July 1st, 1936 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

July 1951      Moved to China.
1951-1953     Attended the Beijing Yuying Middle School.
1954-1958     Attended high school at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts
1958-1963     Studied in Wu Zuo Ren's studio in the China Central Academy's
                    paintingdepartment.        
                    Also took lessons from Ai Zhongxin, Wei Qi Mei, Lin Gang, Zhan
                    Jian Jun, and Li Ku Chan.
1964-1990     Worked as an art director and a photojournalist. Acted as director
                    of photography department and as the chief editorial assistant at the
                    "People of China" magazine.
1980             Joined the China Artists'Association and the China Photographers'
                    Association.
1986             Became Vice-president of the Returned Overseas Chinese
                    Photographers'Association.
1988             Became a member of The Bridge Slide Club International Ltd.
1993             Became a professor at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts.
1996             Became a member of the qualification reviews committee at the
                    Society of Worldwide Ethnic Chinese Photographers Limited.
