Fang Shengyi
1978 November 28, born in Ongniod Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia.
1987 Under the influence of his father, began to draw sketches and copy comic strips.
1992 In his own request, began to study painting in due form, started drawing practice systematically.
1995 Was admitted to the Special Class of Fine Arts in 23rd School of Daqing City, spent three days per  week on painting practice.
1997 Comic strips "The Return of Hongkong" won a local municipal award.
1998 Was admitted to the Decoration Department, School of Fine Arts, Harbin Normal University.
1999 Taught drawing and sketches In the hospital entrance training college of the school of Fine Arts.
2000 Began to teach drawing and watercolor in Affiliated High School of Harbin Normal University, Creation interests turned to experimental images.
2001 Two watercolors selected for the Exhibition of the 80th Anniversary of CPC (Communist Party of China).
2001 Held personal exhibition "Visual Voice" in the Art Museum of Harbin Normal University, displaying 39 experimental image works.
2002 Graphic design work "Sep. 18th" selected for the Exhibition of Commemorating Mao's Speech in Yan'an.
2002 Involved in the planning of the First Experiment Art Exhibition in Heilongjiang Province, displaying more than 20 pieces of experimental video works of his own.
2003 Taught junior college students basic courses of art and design, planning to give up teaching.
2004 Access to a newspaper office and engaged in a job of news-photographer. Simultaneously created the continuous series more than 60 pieces of the " New Shan Hai Jing Charts". Published single cartoons in newspapers and periodicals in succession.
2004 "New Shan Hai Jing Charts" selected for the Tenth National Art Exhibition, won local Excellence Award and exhibited in Jiangsu Province Museum of Fine Arts.
2005 Left the newspaper office and started a Children's art training school. Taught hundreds of 3 to 10-year-old child to paint during the period. Began to study and create works related to children's painting, wrote manuscript of "Mature Naive".
2006 began taking pictures of the "Tiny Sublimity" series of photographs in his own yard, finished th manuscript of " Tiny Sublimity: Another Form of Talk,".
2007 In November, co-founded "Contemporary Art" magazine, served as executive editor. Have written many articles on contemporary art theories, Commentary category and biography articles. Have interviewed a number of internationally renowned Chinese artists.
2008 Participate in the first "May 4th International Youth Arts Festival", responsible for revision planning and specific tasks of "Contemporary Art", served as chief editor. Continued development of individual works of art, did a systematic collation and examination for personal artistic creation. Completed the manuscript collation of Personal Glossary (four volumes per set ).
2009 Served as chief planner of the 2nd "May 4th International Youth Arts Festival", expanded the festival from single plastic arts to multiple units, and introduced a system of sponsoring. Completed the revision of "Contemporary Art" and led it into the period of steady development.
2009 In April, on behalf of Hongwan Art Center to participate in Art Beijing Expo.
2009 In July, planned tour exhibition of May 4th Youth Arts Festival in 798 at the Asian Art Center, on which completed installation work of "Gold Trilogy", namely "Gold Coin of One-dime," "Gold Excrement" and "We Always Shine."
2009 In November, personal photographic exhibition "Tiny Sublimity" will be held in 798 Photo Gallery.
